A dedicated wildlife sanctuary, off-grid residence and an orchard

Description

Kathie Anderson and Andrew Silcock are the owners of Nullus Anxietas, a property located in Tuntable Creek, approximately 10km south of Nimbin, New South Wales. The property is a dedicated wildlife sanctuary with a small portion cleared for an off-grid residence and an orchard. It is Kathie and Andrew's intent to continue to utilise the property for conservation purposes, and to operate an off-grid eco-retreat in the future.

The sanctuary covers approximately 6.9 hectares of pristine, native bushland set on a ridgetop. Vegetation includes a variety of eucalypts and native grasses and, with access to some parts of the property limited due to the density of the bush, the entire plant-life present is still unknown.

Wildlife species known to inhabit the property include swamp wallabies (Wallabia bicolor), brush turkeys (Alectura lathami) and an abundance of birds, snakes, frogs and other species.
