Description

Linda and Todd Dennis are the owners of Habitat, a property located approximately 30km north of Kyogle and 11km off the Border Ranges World Heritage National Park. The property is a dedicated wildlife sanctuary and is also used for wildlife rehabilitation. It is Linda and Todd's intent for Habitat to remain for these purposes, providing for the needs of a wide range of wildlife species.

The property covers approximately 16.2 hectares. The predominant vegetation types present on Habitat are wet sclerophyll forest with a grassy understory and wet sclerophyll forest with a shrubby understory, and some rainforest also occurs.

This vegetation provides for a wide range of native fauna species such as koalas (Phascolarctos cinereus), sugar gliders (Petaurus breviceps), brushtail (Trichosurus vulpecula) and ringtail (Pseudocheirus peregrinus) possums, yellow-bellied gliders (Petaurus australis), a variety of macropods, and a wide range of bird species including glossy black cockatoos (Calyptorhynchus lathami).
