Wildlife Land Trust / Sanctuaries / NSW / Tiandi

Julia Gibb is the owner of Tiandi, a property located approximately 25km North of Braidwood. The property is a dedicated wildlife sanctuary which is also used for wildlife rehabilitation.  Julia is a wildlife carer who rescues, rehabilitates and releases macropods, work which is assisted by a custom built enclosure on the sanctuary. It is Julia’s intent to maintain and enhance both her wildlife rehabilitation work and the environmental values of Tiandi.

The sanctuary covers approximately 10.12 hectares, of which around 60% is pasture and 40% remnant native bushland.  Native grassland is the predominant vegetation type featured on the property.  Wildlife species known to be present on Tiandi includes bare-nosed wombats (Vombatus ursinus), ringtail (Pseudocheirus peregrinus) and brushtail (Trichosurus vulpecula) possums, eastern grey kangaroos (Macropus giganteus), swamp (Wallabia bicolor) and red-necked (Macropus rufogriseus) wallabies and a wide range of birdlife.
