The Funny Farm is a 97.12 hectare sanctuary near Canberra that is registered as a Wildlife Refuge with the NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service. Robbie Swan and friends own this piece of alpine wilderness that is surrounded by native bushland, bordering Kosciuszko National Park, the Goodradigbee River, and three other wildlife sanctuaries.
With vegetation comprised of native sub-alpine wet and dry sclerophyll forest, the property provides habitat for superb lyrebirds (Menura novaehollandiae), short-beaked echidnas (Tachyglossus aculeatus), platypuses (Ornithorhynchus anatinus), bare-nosed wombats (Vombatus ursinus), eastern grey kangaroos (Macropus giganteus), red-necked (Macropus rufogriseus) and swamp (Wallabia bicolor) wallabies, dingoes (Canis dingo), microbats, grey-headed flying foxes (Pteropus poliocephalus) red-bellied black (Pseudechis porphyriacus) and eastern brown (Pseudonaja textilis), brushtail possums (Trichosurus vulpecula), wedge-tailed eagles (Aquila audax), mountain pygmy-possums (Burramys parvus) and powerful owls (Ninox strenua).
