Wildlife Land Trust / Sanctuaries / NSW / Wattlelane Stables

Tabitha and Chris Jones are the owners of Wattlelane Stables, a property located in Pambula, approximately 30km south of Bega, New South Wales. The property is the site of a small business, private stables and residence as well as a wildlife rehabilitation site and sanctuary. Tabitha and Chris are registered wildlife carers with WIRES, and rescue and rehabilitate various macropods on the property. They intend to continue utilizing the property as a refuge for injured and orphaned macropods.

The property covers approximately 2.2 hectares of native and introduced grasses interspersed with plantations of mixed native trees. The property is bounded with a kangaroo-proof fence to keep rescued macropods inside the sanctuary.

Rescued macropods are the main wildlife found on the property, and include eastern grey kangaroos (Macropus giganteus) and swamp wallabies (Wallabia bicolor).
