Peter Judge is the owner of The Mount, a property situated in Newbridge, approximately 50km southeast of Orange, New South Wales. The property is a residence and dedicated wildlife sanctuary undergoing revegetation, and it is Peter’s intent to obtain long-term protection for the existing habitat.
The property is situated within the Kanangra Boyd to Wyangala Link, a major wildlife corridor for a range of gliders and other native species. It covers approximately 45 hectares and is situated 1000km above sea level. Eucalypt woodland dominated by yellow stringybark (Eucalyptus muelleriana) provides ample tree cover throughout the property.
The property provides habitat for eastern grey kangaroos (Macropus giganteus) and koalas (Phascolarctos cinereus), as well as a few bare-nosed wombats (Vombatus ursinus).
