Wildlife Land Trust / Sanctuaries / QLD / Green Acres

Danielle Ryan and Mark Gregory are the owners of Green Acres, a property located approximately 50km south of Brisbane.  The property was recently purchased and it is Danielle and Mark’s intent to dedicate at least one acre to regenerating bushland, creating a safe haven for current and future wildlife inhabitants.

The sanctuary covers 2.92 hectares of open grassland and dry forest undergoing regeneration.  Dominant vegetation types include ironbark gums, native grassland and acacia species. Known wildlife inhabitants of Green Acres include swamp wallabies (Wallabia bicolor), eastern grey kangaroos (Macropus giganteus), brushtail possums (Trichosurus vulpecula), bare-nosed wombats (Vombatus ursinus) and a wide variety of native bird species.
