Bruce Smith is the owner of Edge Cliff Sanctuary, a property located approximately 50km south of Innisfail. The property is a residence and dedicated wildlife sanctuary which is also used for wildlife rehabilitation, rescue and care. It is Bruce’s intent for Edge Cliff Sanctuary to continue providing for native wildlife through these uses.

The property covers approximately 0.41 hectares, and features a range of endemic and native flora species. Examples of wildlife species known to occur on Edge Cliff Sanctuary include agile wallabies (Macropus agilis), northern brown bandicoots (Isoodon macrourus), northern quolls (Dasyurus hallucatus), sugar gliders (Petaurus breviceps), and a wide variety of native birdlife.
