Wildlife Land Trust / Sanctuaries / WA / Possum’s Perch

Julie Sheridan is the owner of Possum’s Perch, a semi-rural property located in approximately 25km South of Perth.  The property was purchased with the intent of being a home and dedicated native wildlife sanctuary used for wildlife rehabilitation.  Julie is a wildlife carer and intends to continue revegetation efforts and maintain Possum’s Perch as a nature reserve.

The sanctuary covers approximately 2 hectares made up of grasses and revegetated trees after it was cleared for farming by a previous owner.  Wildlife known to be present includes possums, western grey kangaroos (Macropus fuliginosus), southern brown bandicoots (Isoodon obesulus), bobtail lizards (Tiliqua rugosa) and a variety of snakes and small marsupial species.
