The 2012 round of Wildlife Land Trust partnered Private Land Conservation Grants is officially open for applications, with a much wider range of properties throughout New South Wales now able to apply for funding. Previously open only to holders of binding, in perpetuity conservation agreements, 2012 sees three new partners join the program and a revised three tier funding system which allocates funds for biodiversity management for levels 1 and 2, and funding to provide conservation training programs for level 3:
- Level 1, up to $5,000 per property per year for up to 3 years, open to Conservation Agreements, Trust Agreements and in perpetuity Registered Property Agreements;
- Level 2, up to $1,000 per property per year for up to 3 years, open to in perpetuity Property Vegetation Plans and Wildlife Refuges; and
- Level 3, up to $2,000 per group. per year for up to 3 years, open to Land for Wildlfe and Wildlife Land Trsut members.
Applications close on April 15 and successful applicants will be notified in early June.
