The noteworthy conservation and wildlife rehabilitation efforts of Wildlife Land Trust member James Fitzgerald on his refuge Hammer's Hill Wildlife Sanctuary were the focus of a recent (May 3, 2013) ABC report entitled Koala Comeback.

The koala population on James's impressive 312 hectare refuge encouragingly appears to be expanding, thanks in no small part to James and his dedication to rescuing and rehabilitating wildlife and securing their habitat on hisWLT sanctuary.

James's passion for providing for wildlife has also seen him seek to expand his contribution to the WLT network considerably, with the recently purchased 'Kalandan', a 365 hectare property neighbouring Hammer's Hill, currently in the process of becoming a WLT member refuge.
