NSW: Beauview - Fran and Brian Weavers

Frances and Brian Weavers are the owners of a property located north east of Albury. The property is a wildlife-friendly sanctuary and a residence also used to run a small flock of Wiltshire Horn shedding sheep for grass management. It is Frances and Brian's intent for the property to continue in its current purposes and to add more native plantings to attract more bird life as well as making the area around the dam more desirable for wildlife.

Beauview covers 2.5 hectares of bush and pastureland, and contains eleven small paddocks, a vegetable paddock, established trees and more recent plantings as well as a dam which provides a vital water source for local wildlife.

Wildlife species known to inhabit the property include eastern blue-tongued lizards (Tiliqua scincoides), eastern brown snakes (Pseudonaja textilis) and an abundance of bird life such as white-faced herons (Egretta novaehollandiae), pacific black ducks (Anas superciliosa), Australian king parrots (Alisterus scapularis), superb fairy-wrens (Malurus cyaneus), finches (Emblema spp.), eastern rosellas (Platycercus eximius), Sulphur-crested cockatoos (Cacatua galerita) and black-faced cuckoo shrikes (Coracina novaehollandiae).
