WA: Woolyerling Reserve - Michael Stevenson, Janey Marsh and Juris Vilums

Michael Stevenson, Janey Marsh and Juris Vilums are the owners of Woolyerling Reserve, a property located around 230km south east of Perth, Western Australia. The property is a dedicated wildlife sanctuary used for wildlife rehabilitation, education, agriculture, recreation and tourism as well as as a family home. The property is also a part of Land for Wildlife, and the owners intend to use the property for continued rehabilitation and holistic land use. 

Woolyerling Reserve covers 64 hectares, with approximately 49 hectares of eucalypt woodlands that have never been cleared, granite outcrops and a tree reserve that borders 16 hectares of fields. The main vegetative species are eucalypts, acacias and sheoaks (Casuarina spp.). 

Wildlife known to inhabit the property includes red-tailed phascogales (Phascogale calura), western grey kangaroos (Macropus fuliginosus), black-tailed wallabies (Wallabia bicolor), honey possums (Tarsipes rostratus), carpet pythons (Morelia spilota), bobtails (Tiliqua rugosa), racehorse goannas (Varanus gouldii), dragon lizards (Pogona spp.) and many more. The property is also home to a wide array of bird life with 112 species found on the property.
